Artwork Origination
Artwork is the illustration of text and images which is printed onto the labels. We can process the artwork provided by the customer or we
can generate artwork according to the customer's requirements.
We can accept artwork in following formats:
Adobe Illustrator - *.ai
Adobe Photoshop - *.psd, jpg (High Resolution)
Quark Express - *.qxd
Coral draw. - *.cdr
Adobe InDesign
PageMaker - *.pm, *.pmx
Please note that PageMaker is suitable for flexo printing process.
Artwork Originals:
Please supply with your artwork a Microsoft word document containing all of the text within your artwork. This will enable us to make any
changes necessary using the original copy.
Artwork files can be sent through by email or post (Floppy, CD, DVD). Always keep copies of any original artwork supplied.
Alternatively, we can product artwork for you, on request. Send us your details and your requirements in as much detail as possible and we
will produce a proof for your approval.
Flexo Printing
Once we have received approval of the artwork, we can then produce photopolymer printing plates for printing your labels. These plates consist
of Black, Cyan, Yellow or Magenta colour(s).
The press is configured with the print plates of your approved artwork along with flexi die's based on the label size. We then wind the
selected material through the press and slit them into rolls depending on the quantity of labels on each roll and the number of rolls required.
The printed and slitted rolls are packed into protective bags and boxes, ready for dispatch.
We can also configure our press to produce plain A4 Sheet labels, which can be printed on using inkjet and laser printers.
Self Adhesive Labels
Our self adhesive plain and printed labels can be used in a number of different applications, for leisure/personal use or for commercial
purposes. Some of the most popular uses are for product branding, stock control, delivery and postage, media and other common office
and departmental uses.
Pressure-sensitive labels are the most common type of labels. These labels have 3 layers:
(1) - Label face
(2) - Adhesive
(3) - Backing
The label face can be plain or printed through inkjet, laser, copier, flexo, digital and thermal printers
We produce plain and printed labels in various labels faces such as: matt, glossy, clear, coloured and opaque (blackout) all with the option of
4 colour flexo printing.
The adhesive used is dependent on the environment in which the label will be applied. We produce labels for temporary and permanent uses
with permanent, peelable and high tack adhesives available for any temperature tolerances which are required. Labels can be applied to most
surfaces such as wood, metal, plastic and gloss surfaces.
